In 1917, in an effort to enhance the theatergoing experience, members of the Drama League began selling printed copies of plays from a card-table in the lobby of a New York theatre. By 1923 the service had become popular enough to warrant its own space and The DRAMA BOOK SHOP was officially incorporated. Since then, the bookshop has continued to serve professionals, aspiring professionals and fans of the performing arts worldwide.
Now, as we prepare to celebrate our 90th year, we offer you our Blog. Here we will endeavor to amuse and inform our guests with stories and news of the goings on around the shop and in the performing arts community at large.
